Mark Jason Melliguen Prove his Worth

Another top prospect and ALA GYM's best kept secret Mark Jason "MJM" Melliguen, won by 2nd round technical knockout over his Mexican opponent Fabian Luque. The fight was held at Fabian Luque territory in Esinada, Mexico. Melligen put Luque on the canvass in the first round but Luque was able to beat the referee's count. At the second round Melliguen knockdown Luque again and continue to punish him with a body shot until the referee could not take it anymore. The referee stop the fight to prevent further damage from Luque. With his convincing victory over Luque, Melliguen is now one step closer for his dream to land a championship fight under Top Rank Promotions of Bob Arum. Also in the side of Melligen to contribute the victory is Edito Villamor his long time trainer from the Philippines and Tony Martin his American trainer when he start his campaign in the US.

The Philippine Coast Guard has deployed a ship and a plane to patrol the Philippine Rise, a resource-rich part of Philippine territory that some experts feared was also being encroached by China. Malacañang earlier said areas under service contracts (SC) 57 and 72 are being considered for possible joint exploration with a company and not the Chinese government. However, a maritime law expert warned that such a venture would elevate the Chinese firm’s status from mere sub-contractor to a “co-owner.” Formerly called Geophysical Survey and Exploration Contract 101, the 880,000-hectare SC 72 is at the Recto Bank, which is located west of Palawan and southwest of the Malampaya gas field.
